Terms Used In Missouri Laws 311.088

  • following: when used by way of reference to any section of the statutes, mean the section next preceding or next following that in which the reference is made, unless some other section is expressly designated in the reference. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • intoxicating liquor: as used in this chapter shall mean and include alcohol for beverage purposes, alcoholic, spirituous, vinous, fermented, malt, or other liquors, or combination of liquors, a part of which is spirituous, vinous, or fermented, and all preparations or mixtures for beverage purposes, containing in excess of one-half of one percent by volume.   • person: as used in this chapter shall mean and include any individual, association, joint stock company, syndicate, copartnership, corporation, receiver, trustee, conservator, or other officer appointed by any state or federal court. See Missouri Laws 311.030
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Any person possessing the qualifications and meeting the requirements of this chapter who is licensed to sell intoxicating liquor by the drink at retail for consumption on the premises in a home rule city with more than four hundred thousand inhabitants and located in more than one county may be issued a special permit by the state and such city. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 311.089 to the contrary, the special permit issued under this section shall allow the licensed premises to sell intoxicating liquor from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. on the morning of the following day within one twenty-four hour period. Any person granted a special permit under this section shall only be authorized to receive up to six such special permits from the city in a calendar year. For every special permit issued under the provisions of this section, the permittee shall pay to the director of the department of revenue the sum of fifty dollars.
