  • Bequest: Property gifted by will.
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

There is hereby created in the treasury the “State Institutions Gift Trust Fund”. Unless otherwise provided, all moneys derived from gifts, bequests or donations to or for the use of any state agency or state institution shall be deposited in the treasury to the credit of the state institutions gift trust fund and shall be appropriated for the purposes of carrying out the objects for which the gift, bequest or donation was made.
