  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.

The “Missouri Local Government Expenditure Database” is hereby created and shall be maintained on the Missouri accountability portal, established under section 37.850, by the office of administration. The database shall be available on the office of administration website and shall include information about expenditures made during each fiscal year that begins after December 31, 2022. The database shall be publicly accessible without charge.
