  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no agency shall purchase, lease or rent any copy machine or printing equipment until the purchase, lease or rental agreement has been approved by the commissioner of administration, nor shall the purchasing division approve, on behalf of any agency, any such purchase, lease or rental agreement. The commissioner of administration may waive the commissioner’s approval authority for any specific level or type of equipment that may be requested by state agencies.
