  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Beginning on the west boundary line of the county of Barry, as defined by an act approved February 24, 1849, entitled “An act to define the western boundary line of Barry County”, at a point on said line between townships twenty-three and twenty-four of range number twenty-nine, west; thence west along said township line to the western boundary line of the state; thence south with said boundary line to the southwest corner of the state; thence east on the state line between the states of Missouri and Arkansas to the southwest corner of Barry County, where the line, as defined by the act aforesaid, intersects the southern boundary line of the state; thence north on the said western boundary line of Barry County to the place of beginning.
