  • Asbestos: the asbestiform varieties of chrysotile, crocidolite, amosite, anthophyllite, tremolite and actinolite. See Missouri Laws 643.020
  • Department: the department of natural resources of the state of Missouri. See Missouri Laws 643.020
  • Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

The department of health and senior services and the department of natural resources shall develop an interagency agreement establishing agency responsibilities and procedures concerning asbestos reporting, removal and treatment. The department of health and senior services is hereby designated the state agency for the administration of loans and grants under the Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Act of 1984, Public Law 98-377, and other federally funded loan or grant programs for the abatement of asbestos.
