85-9-403. Directors’ powers — conduct of business. On behalf of the district, the directors may:
Terms Used In Montana Code 85-9-403
- Directors: means the board of directors of a conservancy district. See Montana Code 85-9-103
- District: means a conservancy district. See Montana Code 85-9-103
(1)adopt an official seal;
(2)sue and be sued;
(3)provide for reimbursing of their members for actual expenses;
(4)merge with other special districts as hereinafter provided;
(5)call upon the county attorney or attorney general for such legal services as the district may require or, in the discretion of the directors, employ private legal counsel.
