(1) In addition to interest charged on loans, a credit union may charge members all reasonable expenses in connection with the making, closing, disbursing, extending, collecting, or renewing of loans.

- Credit union: shall mean a cooperative, nonprofit corporation organized under the Credit Union Act for purposes of educating and encouraging its members in the concept of thrift, creating a source of credit for provident and productive purposes, and carrying on such collateral activities as are set forth in the act. (2) A credit union may assess charges to members, in accordance with its bylaws, for failure to meet their obligations to the credit union in a timely manner.
