A member may lend money to and transact other business with the limited cooperative association and has the same rights and obligations with respect to the loan or other transaction as a person that is not a member subject to the articles of organization or bylaws or a specific contract relating to the transaction.

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Organization: means a limited cooperative association, limited cooperative association governed by a law other than the Nebraska Limited Cooperative Association Act, a general partnership, a limited liability partnership, a limited partnership, a limited liability company, a business trust, a corporation, a cooperative, or any other person having a governing statute.
