Nebraska Statutes 71-8237. State Trauma Advisory Board; duties

The State Trauma Advisory Board shall:

Department: means the Division of Public Health of the Department of Health and Human Services. See Nebraska Statutes 71-8211
State: when applied to different states of the United States shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories organized by Congress. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
Trauma: means a single-system or multisystem injury requiring immediate medical or surgical intervention or treatment to prevent death or permanent disability. See Nebraska Statutes 71-8232

(1) Advise the department regarding trauma care needs throughout the state;

(2) Advise the Board of Emergency Medical Services regarding trauma care to be provided throughout the state by emergency medical services;

(3) Review proposed departmental rules and regulations for trauma care; and

(4) Recommend modifications in rules regarding trauma care.
