1.  A judge authorized to hold or preside at a court appointed to be held in a city, precinct or town, may, by an order filed with the county clerk and published as he or she may prescribe, direct that the court be held or continued:

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 1.070

(a) At any other place or location in the city or county than that appointed, when emergency conditions which impair the ability of the court to perform its basic functions render it necessary; or

(b) By means of remote communication when necessary to promote the interest of justice.

2.  A judge who directs that the court be held or continued at another place or location pursuant to subsection 1 may, in the same manner, revoke the order and, in his or her discretion, appoint another place or location for holding or continuing the court.

3.  As used in this section, ‘remote communication’ means communication through telephone or videoconferencing.
