1. The provisions of NRS 244.35351 to 244.35359, inclusive, apply to a county whose population is 700,000 or more.

- county: includes Carson City. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.033
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- population: means the number of people in a specified area as determined by the last preceding national decennial census conducted by the Bureau of the Census of the United States Department of Commerce pursuant to Section 2 of Article I of the Constitution of the United States and reported by the Secretary of Commerce to the Governor pursuant to 13 U. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.050
2. The provisions of NRS 244.35351 to 244.35359, inclusive, do not apply to a residential unit located within a building that is:
(a) Located on land not zoned exclusively for residential use; and
(b) Owned or operated by a person who holds a nonrestricted license for gaming issued pursuant to NRS 463.170 or an affiliate of a person who holds a nonrestricted license for gaming.
3. As used in this section:
(a) ’Affiliate’ has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 463.0133.
(b) ’Nonrestricted license’ has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 463.0177.
