Nevada Revised Statutes 388A.524 – Prohibition against employing person whose license has been suspended or revoked; submission of information concerning licensed employees to Department
1. A charter school shall not employ a person pursuant to NRS 388A.518 or 388A.521 if the person’s license to teach or provide other educational services has been revoked or suspended in this State or another state.
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 388A.524
- Charter school: means a public school that is formed pursuant to the provisions of chapter 388A of NRS. See Nevada Revised Statutes 385.007
- Department: means the Department of Education. See Nevada Revised Statutes 385.007
- person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
2. A charter school shall annually, on or before the date prescribed by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, submit to the Department, in a format prescribed by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the following information for each person who is licensed pursuant to chapter 391 of NRS and who is employed by the governing body during that year:
(a) The amount of salary or compensation of the licensed person, including, without limitation, verification of compliance with subsection 2 of NRS 388A.521, if applicable to that person; and
(b) The designated assignment, as that term is defined by the Department, of the licensed person.
