The owner of any motorboat already covered by a number in effect which has been awarded to it pursuant to a federally approved numbering system of another state must record the number before operating the motorboat on the waters of this State. The recordation must be in the manner and pursuant to the procedure required for the award of a number under NRS 488.075, but no additional or substitute number may be issued.

Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 488.085

  • Motorboat: means any vessel propelled by machinery, whether or not the machinery is the principal source of propulsion. See Nevada Revised Statutes 488.035
  • Owner: means :

    (a) A person having all the incidents of ownership, including the legal title of a vessel, whether or not he or she lends, rents or pledges the vessel; and

    (b) A debtor under a security agreement relating to a vessel. See Nevada Revised Statutes 488.035
