Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 167:24

  • governor and council: shall mean the governor with the advice and consent of the council. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:31-a
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The governor and council are hereby authorized on behalf of the state to accept and to apply to the carrying out of the purposes of this chapter or N.H. Rev. Stat. Chapter 161 all moneys that may be advanced to, or otherwise placed at the disposal of, the state by the federal government or any of its agencies for the purposes of this chapter or RSA 161. Said funds shall be disbursed by the commissioner of health and human services.
