Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 228:20
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The commissioner shall be provided with suitable quarters for his office and that of the department and may employ such expert, clerical and other assistance as he may deem necessary to carry out the duties incumbent upon his office, subject to the regulations of the state employees’ personnel commission as to compensation.
