Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 275:72

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Any employer who violates this subdivision shall be subject to a civil penalty, to be imposed by the labor commissioner in accordance with the procedures established in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 273:11-a. An employer aggrieved by the commissioner’s assessment of such penalty may appeal in accordance with N.H. Rev. Stat. § 273:11-c.
