Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes > Chapter 270-A - Use of Houseboats

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
  • following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
  • Houseboat: means any ship, boat, raft, float, catamaran or marine craft of any description upon or within which are located sleeping and toilet facilities, regardless of whether such facilities are of a permanent or temporary nature. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270-A:1
  • Mooring: means beaching, grounding, or tying of a houseboat to the shore of any of the inland surface waters of the state, and the anchoring of a houseboat on any of the inland surface waters of the state. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270-A:1
  • Overnight period: means the period of time between the termination of daylight in the evening to the earliest dawn in the next morning. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270-A:1
  • Person: means any individual, firm, co-partnership, company, association or joint-stock association, including any trustee, administrator, executor, receiver, assignee or other personal representative thereof. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270-A:1
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
