  • Legacy: A gift of property made by will.
  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law to the contrary, any person who undertakes the closure of a legacy landfill, or the owner or operator of a closed sanitary landfill facility, who accepts for any reason, solid waste, recyclable material, contaminated soil, cover material, wastewater treatment residual material, dredge material, construction debris, or any other waste or material shall apply for and obtain site plan approval pursuant to the provisions of the “Municipal Land Use Law,” P.L.1975, c.291 (C. 40:55D-1 et seq.).
