Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 23:4-15

  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State.   • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
No person shall sow, deposit or place any rye, wheat, oats, corn or other cereal, except wild celery and wild rice, within four hundred feet of a gunning point in any of the salt or fresh waters of this state, or cause the same to be done, for the purpose of luring, decoying or baiting any goose, duck, swan, brant or other kind of waterfowl, so that the same may be shot at, killed or captured while feeding or attempting to feed thereon; or shoot at, kill or capture any goose, duck, swan, brant or other waterfowl while feeding or attempting to feed where any rye, wheat, oats, corn or other cereal, except wild celery and wild rice, is known to have been sown, deposited or placed in violation of this section, under a penalty of fifty dollars for each offense.
