Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 24:6F-2

  • Drug: means (1) articles recognized in the official United States Pharmacopoeia, official Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, or official National Formulary, or any supplement to any of them. See New Jersey Statutes 24:1-1
  • Food: means (1) articles used for food or drink for man or other animals (2) chewing gum and (3) articles used for components of any such article. See New Jersey Statutes 24:1-1
  • Label: means a display of written, printed, or graphic matter upon the immediate container of any article. See New Jersey Statutes 24:1-1
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
No duly registered pharmacist shall be subject to any penalty or disciplinary action by any State agency or private professional organization for dispensing, upon receipt of a prescription, amygdalin, provided that the pharmacist shall affix to the container containing amygdalin a label which shall contain the following statement: “Amygdalin has not been approved as a treatment or cure of any malignancy, disease, illness or physical condition by the United States Food and Drug Administration.”
