- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. A person making application for, or who has been issued, a license to operate a residential health care facility who conceals the fact that the person has been denied a license to own or operate a residential facility, or that the person’s license to own or operate a residential facility has been revoked by a department or agency of state government in this or any other state is liable for a civil penalty of not more than $5,000.00, and any license to operate a residential health care facility which has been issued to that person shall be immediately revoked.
