Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 26:3-68

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
The local board may amend or repeal any provision of a health ordinance or code, such amendment to be passed and amended in the manner prescribed in sections 26:3-66 and 26:3-67 of this title for the enactment of an original ordinance or code.
