- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. It shall be unlawful for any person to contract to manufacture, alter, repair, finish or distribute for such purposes any goods whatsoever in an unlicensed dwelling, tenement or room therein or building situated immediately in the rear of a tenement or dwelling, not licensed as provided in this article. It shall also be unlawful for any person to receive from, handle or convey to others or to sell, offer for sale, to expose for sale or hold in stock any goods that have been manufactured or altered or repaired or finished or distributed for such purposes in any such unlicensed dwelling, tenement, room, or building.
