Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 4:10-19

  • Department: means the department of agriculture. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
  • Farm products: means any agricultural, dairy, poultry or horticultural product, or any product designed for food purposes, manufactured, derived or prepared principally from any agricultural, dairy, poultry or horticultural product or products, including any fresh or salt water food product. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
Such brand or mark may be used on labels attached to packages containing New Jersey agricultural products either fresh or processed packed within this State in accordance with official standards established or grades enforced by the provisions of this act and of chapter ten of Title 4 of the Revised Statutes, and upon packages of processed farm products grown and packed within this State, subject to and in accordance with rules and regulations to be promulgated by the Department of Agriculture.
