Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 4:10-51

  • Department: means the department of agriculture. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Secretary: means the secretary of agriculture. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
In making any findings pursuant to this act, the secretary shall base his findings upon the facts, testimony and evidence received at the public hearing together with any other relevant facts available to him from official publications or records of the department and other governmental agencies referred to at the hearing.
