- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. (a) Any person assembling, transporting, marketing, or processing eggs for marketing shall keep the eggs at a temperature not higher than 60 degrees Fahrenheit and in a relative humidity of not less than 70%. In addition, any container, including the packaging material therein or associated therewith, shall be clean, unbroken, and free from foreign odor.
(b) The State board shall promulgate rules and regulations, providing for the keeping, processing, transporting, and sale of eggs under sanitary conditions.
(c) Nothing in this act or in any rules or regulations of the State board shall be construed to exempt any persons or premises from the application thereto of any laws otherwise applicable and relating to the operation of establishments or facilities for the storing, transporting, sale, distribution, preparation, or serving of food.
