- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
6. Any lot of treated grain which is sold or distributed in violation of any provision of this act may be confiscated by a summary proceeding instituted by the State Seed Analyst. The Superior Court or municipal court having jurisdiction in the municipality in which such grain is found shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine such proceeding.
