  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act, shall, upon being found guilty of a first offense, pay a fine of not less than $50.00, nor more than $100.00, and shall, upon being found guilty of a second offense pay a fine of not less than $100.00 nor more than $250.00, and shall, upon being found guilty of any subsequent offense pay a fine of not less than $250.00 nor more than $500.00; provided, however, that any person unable to pay a fine imposed under the provisions of this act shall be committed to jail for a period of not less than 10 days nor more than 90 days.
