In case of an appeal the supreme court shall advance the case on the docket of said court so as to obtain the most speedy hearing possible.

Terms Used In New Mexico Statutes 44-3-16

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Docket: A log containing brief entries of court proceedings.
