The board shall call any election by resolution as prescribed in the Local Election Act [N.M. Stat. Ann. Chapter 1, Article 22]. The resolution shall recite the objects and purposes of the election and indicate the general or regular local election on which the ballot question shall appear or specify the date a special election will be held.
