The New York laws as hosted by LawServer come from the New York legislature, and are updated after the legislature updates its own version of the laws. The legislature does not immediately update the laws when a new bill is enacted, however. So to bring your research up to the date it is sometimes necessary to look for bills enacted since the latest versions of the laws were published. That information is available here.
