Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 106-555.1

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. For the purpose of any federal commodity assessment program, the producers’ agency certified by the Board of Agriculture pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 106-555 shall be deemed to be the official State board for such commodity.  No subsequent referenda shall be required under this Article in order for such producers’ agency to maintain its status as the official State board for the purposes of such federal commodity assessment program.
