(a)        The statutory authority, powers, duties, functions, records, personnel, property, and unexpended balances of appropriations, allocations, or other funds of the Criminal Justice Information Network Governing Board are transferred to the Department of Public Safety as a Type II transfer as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143A-6

(b)        As used in this Part:

(1)        “Board” means the Criminal Justice Information Network Governing Board established by N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143B-1204

(2)        “Department” means the Department of Public Safety.

(3)        “Local government user” means a unit of local government of this State having authorized access to the Network.

(4)        “Network” means the Criminal Justice Information Network established by the Board pursuant to this Part.

(5)        “Network user” or “user” means any person having authorized access to the Network.
