Unless specifically authorized to do so by an act of the General Assembly, no State agency or political subdivision of the State may create or maintain a database that compiles and makes available to the public information or data regarding (i) critical incidents as defined by N.C. Gen. Stat. § 17C-2(3a) or N.C. Gen. Stat. § 17E-2(4) or (ii) disciplinary actions taken against law enforcement officers. ?(2021-180, s. 18.4A(a).)
