For purposes of this Article, the following definitions apply:
(1) “Depository institution” has the same meaning as set forth in the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, 12 U.S.C. §§ 1811, et seq.

- following: when used by way of reference to any section of a statute, shall be construed to mean the section next preceding or next following that in which such reference is made; unless when some other section is expressly designated in such reference. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
(2) “Hazardous condition” has the same meaning as set forth in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 53-301(a)(23).
(3) “Trust institution” has the same meaning as set forth in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 53-301(a)(52). (2011-339, s. 7.)
