- Commission: means the North Carolina Utilities Commission. See North Carolina General Statutes 62-3
- lines: means distribution lines and transmission lines collectively. See North Carolina General Statutes 62-100
- State: means the State of North Carolina; "state" means any state. See North Carolina General Statutes 62-3
Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 62-31, the Commission may adopt rules to carry out the purposes of this Article. In addition, the Commission shall adopt rules requiring public utilities to file periodic reports stating their short-term and long-term plans for construction of transmission lines in this State.
