Terms Used In North Dakota Code 10-33-96

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See North Dakota Code 1-01-49

a.    By the incorporators under section 10-33-97; b.    By the board and members with voting rights under sections 10-33-98 through 10-33-103; or

c.    By order of a court under sections 10-33-106 through 10-33-113.

2.    A corporation also may be dissolved by the secretary of state under section 10-33-139.
