(A) No person shall violate this chapter or rules adopted under it.

Terms Used In Ohio Code 3729.11

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Director of health: means the director of health or the director's authorized representative. See Ohio Code 3729.01
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • Licensor: means either the board of health of a city or general health district, or the authority having the duties of a board of health in any city as authorized by section 3709. See Ohio Code 3729.01
  • Person: includes an individual, corporation, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, and association. See Ohio Code 1.59
  • Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.

(B) The prosecuting attorney of a county, a city director of law, or the attorney general, upon complaint of the licensor or the director of health, shall prosecute to termination or bring an action for injunction against any person violating this chapter or rules adopted under it.
