All horse carcasses, horse meat, and horse meat food products sold, or exposed or offered for sale at retail in this state shall be labeled by the processor thereof to show his name and address and the name of the carcasses, horse meat, and horse meat food product.

- At retail: means for use or consumption by the purchaser and not for resale. See Ohio Code 919.01
- Horse: means an animal of the equine family. See Ohio Code 919.01
- Horse meat: means the meat of a horse. See Ohio Code 919.01
- Horse meat food product: means any article intended for human food that is derived in whole or in part from horse meat. See Ohio Code 919.01
- state: means the state of Ohio. See Ohio Code 1.59
