Within 10 days following the issuing of any judgment of suspension of imposition or execution of sentence or of probation of any person convicted of a crime, or of the continuation, extension, modification or revocation of any such judgment, or of the discharge of such person, or the recommendation by the court to the Governor of the pardon of such person, provided such person is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections, the court issuing such a judgment shall cause prompt delivery of a copy of the same to the Director of the Department of Corrections. - Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
