(1) For the purposes of ORS § 225.320, the city may acquire by gift, grant, purchase or condemnation necessary lands and rights of way within or without its statutory or corporate limits.

  • city: means any incorporated city or town. See Oregon Statutes 225.010
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

(2) For the purpose of acquiring property under subsection (1) of this section, the city may invoke and shall have the rights, powers and privileges granted public corporations by laws pertaining to this subject.
