A person who suffers, or is threatened with, injury to the person or property in a reciprocating jurisdiction caused by pollution originating, or that may originate, in Oregon, has the same rights to relief with respect to the injury or threatened injury, and may enforce those rights in Oregon as if the injury or threatened injury occurred in Oregon. [1991 c.826 § 4]
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 468.079
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
