Oregon Statutes 558.235 – Treatment of forestlands as benefited property
Forestlands within a forest protection district as defined in ORS Chapter 477, shall not be considered benefited property and shall not be included in a weather modification district unless the owner of the forestlands petitions the county court having jurisdiction of the formation proceedings to have the lands of the owner included. - County court: includes board of county commissioners. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
