- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
If the decree of the court provides that the Plan of Reclamation may be amended, changed or corrected or the boundary lines of the district extended the court shall appoint three commissioners, possessing the same qualifications as the commissioners appointed under the provisions of § 49-19-930, to appraise the property to be taken, assess the benefits and damages and estimate the cost of improvements as required of commissioners acting under the provisions of § 49-19-960. The commissioners shall make their report in writing and file it with the clerk after which it shall be proceeded with in the same manner as is provided for in this chapter for the organization of drainage districts.
