Terms Used In Tennessee Code 47-25-2006
- Agriculture: means :
(i) The land, buildings and machinery used in the commercial production of farm products and nursery stock. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105 - Blending Stock: means any liquid compound used for blending with other liquid compounds, including catalytically reformed products and additives, to produce gasoline and gasoline-oxygenate blends that are consistent with the requirements of chapter 18, part 13 of this title. See Tennessee Code 47-25-2002
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Wholesalers purchasing gasoline, gasoline blending stock or diesel are responsible for ensuring that their activities result in gasolines and diesels that meet the standards promulgated by the commissioner of agriculture. Refiners, suppliers and permissive suppliers shall not be liable for fines, penalties, injuries or damages arising out of the subsequent blending of gasoline, gasoline blending stock or diesel pursuant to this part.
