- Chest disease hospitals: means state-owned hospitals established, operated and maintained by the department for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure of tuberculosis. See Tennessee Code 68-9-103
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of health or the commissioner's duly authorized representative. See Tennessee Code 68-9-103
The commissioner shall employ a hospital administrator for each of the chest disease hospitals and other capable administrative personnel as are required for the efficient and effective administration of the hospital.
