- Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
Any boat, vessel, raft, or craft which shall willfully pass through said canal or said improvement without paying the toll required, shall be liable to pay to said company the sum of 100 dollars, to be collected by proceeding against said boat or against the owners thereof, by attachment or otherwise.
