(a) The order calling the election shall provide for:
(1) the time and place or places for holding the election;
(2) the form of the ballots; and
(3) the presiding judge for each voting place.
(b) The commissioners court shall publish a copy of the election order in a newspaper of general circulation in the county or in the part of the county within the target area or operational area at least 30 days preceding the day of the election.

Terms Used In Texas Agriculture Code 301.161

  • Operational area: means that area that joins the target area and is reasonably necessary to use in order to effectuate the purposes over the target area without affecting the land or landowners in the operational area. See Texas Agriculture Code 301.151
  • Target area: means that area described by metes and bounds or other specific bounded description set out in the application for a permit. See Texas Agriculture Code 301.151
