- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
With the prior consent of the commissioner and subject to rules adopted by the finance commission, a savings bank may invest in a subsidiary corporation created under general corporation law.
